Gear Locations
There are 6 pieces of gear in Harbiyah. Gear has currently proven to be random. Through multiple playthroughs I’ve seen the same weapon in different locations. So don’t worry if you don’t get what is in the video. You should, however, always get a weapon before you get the upgrade schematic for it.
Damascus Gate Prison – Under the front steps
Upper Harbor – On the boat
Khurasan Gate Guardhouse – Top outer wall

Prince’s Palace – Inside the upper northern wall
Damascus Gate Prison Gear
The gear here is easier to get if you’re upgraded with things like smoke bombs. I was not upgraded at all, so it wasn’t the cleanest attempt. But it works early in the game.
You need to get down into the lower part and throw a throwing knife through the gate to unbar the door on the other side and then go around to get in.
Upper Harbor Gear
I got this during the Beshi quest, but you can get it at any time. During the quest, there are two guards on the boat. I don’t know how many guards might be there outside of the quest.
- Push the first set of shelves to the left.
- Pull the right set of shelves towards you.
- Walk around to the left and push the back set of shelves all the way to the right now that the right set of shelves has been moved.
- Walk around to the left again, but then around the left side wall to pull the first set of shelves back towards where the back set of shelves started.
Khurasan Gate Guardhouse Gear
There is a marksman here, so using Enkidu can only be done from further back. The gear is on the roof and there is a lift on the west side you can ride up. Only two guards up there.
Soap Boiler’s District Gear
The gear is in the central building. Get into the underside and throw a knife up at the weak floor. Then you’ll be able to climb up inside. If you get caught, to keep your notoriety down, head to the dead-end on the west side. No one will see you kill them and it’ll keep your meter down.
Metal Factory Gear
This is one of the more straightforward ones. Just head into the building and up the ladder.
Prince’s Palace Gear
The Palace has a Marksman that will take a shot at Enkidu. If you want to use her, use her from further back. Head to the north side of the palace and climb up. Sticking to the flowers, whistle to bring out the guard inside and you should be fine.
Lost Books
There are 2 lost books in Harbiyah. Lost books can be returned at the House of Wisdom in the west side of Abbasiyah. It’s west of the Observatory Synchronization Viewpoint.
Southwest of the Great Mosque
Nestorian Monastery
SW of the Great Mosque Lost Book
Climb through the upper window, go down the stairs, and throw a knife at the red oil pot to unbar the door. The book you get is Kalila wa-Dimna.
Nestorian Monastery Lost Book
Find the stairs going down underground and move the three shelves out of the way, then you slide through the hole in the wall. The book you get is Al-Tabari: Tafsir of al-Tabari.

A Holy Hoard
Left Behind Enigma Page
This page can be found south of the metal factory, collapse the scaffolding to clear a window. It refers to an abandoned village that is west of Baghdad. There are leopards there, so be careful, but the treasure is on the beach.
Find What I Stole! Enigma Page
This page can be found at the Qutrabbul Gate along the wall and north waterline. It refers to a hut in the center of the street southwest of the Soap Boilers District. The fabrics the note is referring to are the awnings over top of it.
Holy Hoard Enigma Page
This page can be found south of the Prince’s Palace, in the corner of the wall to Round City and the border to Karkh. It refers to the Nestorian Monastery to the north and the tree that can be found on the northeast side.
Tale of Baghdad
There is one Tale of Baghdad in Harbiyah.
Holy Mission Tale at the Nestorian Monastery
This gentleman can be found wandering the graveyards of the Nestorian Monastery. Help him find the right gravestone, which is the one with the roses on it. Then fight 3 guards.
