This post shows the proper placement for Detective Carnby’s two cases- one in his office and one in the hotel.
Carnby’s Office Puzzle Solution
In Carnby’s Office you’ll find a newspaper article, a telegram, and a photograph. I believe the game puts them in the correct position for you, but you’ll have to determine what side to show. For the newspaper article, show the side that has the article about the Philanthropist. For the telegram, show the back. For the photograph, show the front.
Carnby’s Hotel Puzzle Solution
For the puzzle in the hotel room, you’ll be required to place each item in the right location and determine which side should be facing out. The hotel bill should be in the top left. You’ll want to show the back of the bill.
The telephone directory page goes on the right and should shot the DeWitt listing.
Thornhill’s card goes in the bottom left. Show the back of the card.
