RE4R Puzzle: 5 Cubic Device Use Locations

In chapter 9, in the armory of the Grand Hall, you can pick up a Cubic Device in a Treasure Chest. This device can be used in 5 different places that I’ve found so far, but the key isn’t sellable yet, so I’m assuming there’s more. But this will get you started! I will update this post as I find more, so check back. 🙂

  1. Merchant Room in the Grand Hall – Butterfly Lamp
  2. Audience Chamber – Justitia Statue
  3. Up the stairs that Ashley cranks down in the library – CQBR Assault Rifle
  4. Emblem Room (where Ashley put the emblem to open the gate to free Leon) – Golden Lynx
  5. Throne Room – This cannot be gotten until chapter 12, after you’ve climbed back up.

The cubic device can be found in a treasure chest as you exit the Armory in the Grand Hall.

RE4R Request: Chapter 7 Medallions #3

In chapter 7, you can get the Medallions #3 request. It’s worth 5 Spinels. The request flier is actually found after you get the Castle Gate open, but the medallions themselves are amongst the catapult area.

  1. First set of stairs up to the enemy area Look over to the right in a dead tree.
  2. Lowered cannon area – In the original cannon area. You can look up to the west before or after you raise the cannon. It shouldn’t matter.
  3. Catapult Level – Over the cannon/round area.
  4. Catapult Level – It’s hanging in an opening above a doorway.
  5. Catapult Level – Once you come back up there from the cannon area, drop down and go left, near the 3 barrels on the wall.
  6. Catapult Level – Look up to the north.

RE4R Request: Chapter 5 Savage Mutt

In Chapter 5, when you reach the Merchant behind the Town Hall after rescuing Ashley from the church, there will be a request to take care of a “Savage Mutt”. The notice will tell you he can be found at the Village Chief’s Manor, but when you go there, he can’t be found. That’s because he’s moved on to the Village. Equip a flash grenade your strongest gun and go get him!

RE4R Puzzle: Village Chief’s Manor

In order to get into the bedroom upstairs, you need to open the cabinet in the back hall downstairs. To get the cabinet open, you need to have read the Iluminados 4:3 verse that is found upstairs on the table. That will tell you that the cabinet lock is crops, pig, and baby.

That will get you the marble that you need to put in the door upstairs. I found it easiest to turn it to find the “sharpest” edges to get it to look like the church insignia. Once you can sort of pick out the shape of the lower legs, then you can just turn it right-side up.
