In chapter 9, in the armory of the Grand Hall, you can pick up a Cubic Device in a Treasure Chest. This device can be used in 5 different places that I’ve found so far, but the key isn’t sellable yet, so I’m assuming there’s more. But this will get you started! I will update this post as I find more, so check back. 🙂
- Merchant Room in the Grand Hall – Butterfly Lamp
- Audience Chamber – Justitia Statue
- Up the stairs that Ashley cranks down in the library – CQBR Assault Rifle
- Emblem Room (where Ashley put the emblem to open the gate to free Leon) – Golden Lynx
- Throne Room – This cannot be gotten until chapter 12, after you’ve climbed back up.
The cubic device can be found in a treasure chest as you exit the Armory in the Grand Hall.
The first place you can use it is in the Merchant’s Room, just across the Grand Hall.
The next place you can use it is back in the Audience Chamber. You were first here in Chapter 7. If you go through the castle, there will be enemies along the way. I recommend taking the shortcut from the Grand Hall Merchants room. There will still be enemies in the Audience Chamber still, so make sure your guns are loaded!
The third place you can use it is in the upper Library area. The same area where Ashley found the keys.
The fourth place is in what I call the Emblem Room. It’s the place where Ashley used the Salazar Family Emblem to open the gate.
The last location for the Cubic Devices is the Throne Room. You cannot get this one until Chapter 12 since the first time you come here it’s a cutscene. When you come back, there will be enemies in the Antechamber again.
