Locate Maintenance Drones
While encountering the swarm, use flares to keep the swarm away from you. The Flare Blueprint is in the cavern that the east probe was in during the Recover Geological Data mission.
To get into the Main Room hatch, swim up to an upper balcony that has a lever that will open it.
Main Room
Find 3 batteries around the local area to start up the generators. Then the valve in the floor will direct power to each of the stations.
1 – Drone Control Command – this opens the doors to the drones so you can get in and manually activate them.
2 – Broken drone – past this drone is a lever that will open the exit for the drones.
There’s also a crafting table here if you need more flares or oxygen sticks or something.
Shut Down Sector A
You’re given this mission and then it’s taken away and replaced with the Locate Maintenance Drones mission, so you can’t do this one until after you complete the other one.
During Close Call (end of Day 14), you go out and get the laser upgrade for the Moon. You need it for this mission. Use the laser on the oil spills you encounter in order to get the doors open to get in.
Head to the Main Drilling Unit and find the entrance on the side of the unit, not on the top. Use the laser to clear the door and then you can enter.
Inside, you need to lower the pressure. Doors on the left and right lead to the North and South units. Head into each one and shut them down.
Note: There’s a crafting table in the South hallway. You should craft a mine or two for the next section if you don’t have any, but the game will also give you some.
Now that the pressure is down and you can open the main door, take the lift down and shut down the drills. There are 5 of them and there is a font color glitch down here. As you shut down each drill, the font changes from red to white. However, the second one you encounter will stay red, but the fifth one down will turn white. So if you’re relying on the font color to help you find the ones you still need to do, it can be confusing. Be sure to actually do all 5.
Vinyl Collectible – before you leave, you can go to 557x-823 and find a charter plane that has the vinyl collectible in it.
