Text and video walkthroughs for missions from Day 3.
Maintenance Mission
This one is pretty quick, but it does introduce following octopi to collectibles. For the mission, you’ll need to enter the pipe on the left to actually enter the area.
When you finish the mission, you’ll hear Stan talking about following the octopus whether he does or not. If you do follow it, it’ll lead you to the small plane and the lamp collectible. I also recommend getting into the moon submarine when leaving the Hydrogen Bunker because the octopus will swim faster/more directly there than if you’re just swimming as Stan alone.
Check Oxygen
This one takes place right outside the Life Module. The H2O2 Tank Mix Regulator is the big yellow thing in the middle. There are 6 hoses that come off of that to six different O2 Biogenerators. Three of these Biogenerators need fixing. You can find which 3 three different ways. (1) follow the hose from the Tank, (2) use lock on with L1 and scan with R1 to see which are malfunctioning, or (3) they’re the ones whose lights are out.
Go to each of the 3 that need fixing and turn the valve on the top. When that’s done, head back to the yellow tank and turn the valve until the needle in the meter is in the green. When that is in the green, the light will turn green as well. At that point, release the valve (Playstation is square).
Lost Containers
You can get the mine blueprint in this mission.
For this mission, lock on and scan each container until you find the one that doesn’t have any information attached to it (the one at 922x-1142). Interact with the back of this container and it’ll fall through a crevasse, breaking it open more so you can get down. I couldn’t get back into Moon at this point, and when i did swim down and then come back up and get Moon and go back down, when i finished the mission, Moon was back up by the original container location. So i don’t think Moon is supposed to go do.
Swim after the container and you’ll find the World War II submarine. Loot the plastic from the container and then go check out the broken open center of the sub to get the blueprints and mines.
If you interact with the old munitions you’ll get a Surfrider text file you can read titled “Abandoned WWII Munitions”.
Head up to the top and front of the sub and interact with the hatch to plant a mine to get in.
If you want to find the crevasse and sub again in the future, the coordinates are 922x-1174.
