This is just some notes I made for the Wildlife Photographer Trophy when finding all of the animals for the Photography Missions. The Humpback Whale and Whale Shark have videos under the lists.

Leatherback Turtle – these are near the life module.
Blue Shark – these are around most wrecks and crafting blueprints.
Octopus – you can find one in the Maintenance Mission. If you missed it, you can find them around, mostly near caves because they’ll lead you to the caves.

Orca – I’ve seen these around the Life Module. Also around the containers during Lost Containers on Day 3.
Humpback Whale – Found this one on Day 2 and on Day 17, both times near Central Drone Control and the Refinery. Day 14 you can find it over by 1718x-63 general area, sleeping vertically?
Blue Whale – this can be found around the Life Module on Day 2 and Day 3 (saw it after the Lost Container mission, on the way home), and Day 14.

Seal – take it of J0. You can also find them around Broad Fourteens area. 1093x-851-ish.
Whale Shark – You see this when you exit the server room in Sector B on day 17.
Basking Shark – Found this guy on the east side of the map. He’s also in the Smuggler’s Cavity where the eastern probe is in Recover Geological Data on day 14. Also saw one at the Laser Blueprints during Close Call on Day 14.
